The Patio
When Dallago Associates was first introduced to the client, this modest hotel / restaurant had a rich history dating back to the 1960's. Old postcards show vintage swimsuits and sunglasses of a bygone era. Although the hotel no longer had the pool and restaurant it originally enjoyed, it still was situated on prime waterfront property. The client was willing to give up a few hotel rooms facing the marina to maximize the limited footprint operationally to create a beautiful space facing the Long Island Sound. Dallago Associates embraced and created a mid-century modern aesthetic to pay tribute to the hotels authentic history.
